Volar takes over I Hate Rock n Roll catalog (Darker My Love, Audacity, Anasazis)

It's taken me a few weeks to get around to this, but Volar is proud to announce that we've taken in the entire remaining I Hate Rock n Roll Records stock. Full details below, but this includes the Darker My Love/Moccasin split 12", the Anasazis "Introducing..." 7", and the Audacity/Darker My Love Under the Covers Vol. 1 7".

IHRNR001--Darker My Love/Moccasin split 12"

These are LIMITED test pressings of the Darker My Love/Moccasin split 12".
Darker My Love has done well for themselves, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel (see below), that Target Christmas song series, Tim Presley finding success with White Fence and filling in with the Strange Boys, and the rest of the gang backing Cass McCombs. These records are unavailable anywhere else!

Released 2007 on I Hate Rock N Roll. 12" 45rpm split with Denver's own Moccasin. Designed by Tim.

Now that it's been on vinyl for about six months, I figured I'd put it online.

We've still got a couple of copies on white available, plenty on black.

Soft Pack-curated Vice/Vitamin Water shows this week w/Ale Mania, Audacity, and more

Two great shows this week, curated by the swell gents in the Soft Pack and presented by Vice Magazine/Vitamin Water.

The first is at the Detroit Bar in Orange County (Costa Mesa, to be exact), and features White Fence (listen to "Gimmie Some Time" from the recently released Nerves tribute, and thanks to Tim for his art contributions), Audacity (still have some of their records left), and Tijuana Panthers (who will be working with Volar in the near future.

And then this coming Saturday, May 14th, the second Soft Pack-curated show, this time here in sunny San Diego, will feature Dunes, Ale Mania, Devon Williams, plus a special Surprise Guest, and no, I don't know who it'll be. This will be at the great Til-Two Club.
